The Power of Film, Video and TV in the Classroom
We all know that classroom is the second home for us learners and we can’t deny this fact. Most of the learning process occurs in the classroom but not merely a classroom but a conducive classroom for the learners can easily learn without any distraction.
In this topic I've learned that with the help of technology we can easily learn for us learners and for the side of teacher they can easily teach with the aid of technology. It can make the learners more knowledgeable and make the learner more competitive in terms of our modern era for today. This technology I’m talking is referred to the Film, Video and TV.
The power of Film, Video, and TV in the classroom is more effective because through this said technology in the classroom the learner can easily understand what the teacher want to teach to the learners. And through this the learners can visualize the situation and it is good for the learners that they can see what the teacher talking about.
So, it is very useful to use that having this kind of technology in our learning process and also with this topic the teacher will be guided also on how to properly use this kind of technology in teaching.
Teaching with Dramatized Experiences
In this topic, I've learned many as a reporter for this certain topic. We can’t deny the fact that learning takes place anywhere as long as we learned even in very simple conversation.
In this lesson, I've learned that the teacher must not merely a teacher that will teach to the students but a versatile and talented individual. You must be an actor/actress during your discussion or in other words you must be dramatic so that you can catch the attention of your learners. In this way the teacher can assure that the learners will pay attention to her/his during discussion because we all know that we can get the attention of our learners if we have something new to their eyes or in short by using different strategies/techniques in teaching such as role playing, pageant, pantomime, tableau, puppets and play. Speaking of puppet there are many kinds of puppet the hand puppet that is very usual to the kids.
It’s up to the teacher what kind of dramatic entrance or strategy he/she will used as long as it will relate and fit to the said topic of certain subject. But always remember that no instructional materials can replace a teacher.
Using and Evaluating Instructional Materials
“Teachers are considered as the best instructional materials”. In this statement mean that no instructional materials can replace a teacher. But the teachers discuss without the aid of other instructional materials is sometimes meaningless.
With the help of this topic “Using and Evaluating Instructional Materials” the teachers will be guided on how they can properly used different instructional materials and of course this will serves as guide to the teacher in choosing appropriate instructional materials that would fit and relate to the topic. In preparing and choosing instructional materials the teacher must consider the welfare of his/her learners because we all know that the students are the very center in the learning process and the only role of the teacher is to facilitate and mold the learners to become better individual in the future.
Lastly, in this certain topic the teacher will be guided on how they can properly use the said instructional materials to attain or achieve the learning objectives.
Systematic Approach to Teaching
As a future educator we should plan everything before our discussion to have a good and let us say smooth transfer of learning with your learners. We should have steps in dealing our discussion or we should consider the Systematic Approach in other words Systematic Approach is a step by step procedure or process before and during discussion/demonstration.
With this, the teacher must consider not only theirselves but the concern of the learners because in learning process the students are the very center during discussion and they are those who need the assistance of teacher they need the presence of a teacher. To have a successful discussion the teacher must define first the objectives of the discussion the choose the appropriate methods in dealing your topic with that you must also consider you experiences and also the materials or facilities then assign personnel roles that will stand as the leader after choosing leader give the instruction and let them do. To know if your objective is attain do some evaluation to check if your learners really understand.
This topic is really helpful most especially to those teacher who is new in the field of teaching they will be guided on what shall they do for having a good and smooth discussion.
Technology: Boon or Bane?
“Technology is in our hands. We can use it to build or destroy.”
Nowadays, technology is very rampant to most individual. Almost are using technology in their daily lives. Humans are found everywhere hence technology is everywhere. It is not just found in one town, city, province or country but it is found all over the world.
Technology gives advantages and disadvantages to those individuals who are using these. Since there are many kinds of technology, there are also many advantages and disadvantages of using technology.
Technology benefits individuals because it helps them finish their work easier, faster and successful. Examples for this are rice cooker, netbook/laptop/computer, and other machineries that are used in factories and companies. But because of this technology we are so dependent and became lazy. Many also addicted in computer most specially to the students they became lazy to go to school.
What ever advantages and disadvantages of technology as long as we know how to control it.
