They say that “Best teachers are our experiences”. Our experiences in life are our first hand experiences. Yes, I agree with this line because through our experiences in life, we can learn from it and use it as a guiding tool in whatever we do. Everything we do has its effects in our life whether we learn from it or just ignore it because we so preoccupied with the things we use to do. These experiences of ours will help us become a better person in the future. Through our learning in life we are confident that the same mistake will not happen again. The students will be able to act in a real life situation wherein they can portrait their role very well because they have experienced it. By such using some hand gestures or body language we can easily found it meaningful and understandable. Plays and other role playing scenario will enhance the student ability to act well in a particular situation.
Lesson 11: MAKING THE MOST OF COMMUNITY RESOURCES AND FIELDS TRIPS
In this topic, we can learn a lot by just simply observing our environment. There are many resources that we can gather and use it as a tool in making us as a productive individual in the society. In field trips, we can get valuable information as we dig deeper into our learning. As we go over we can find artifacts and old heritage that will make us proud as Filipino. But of course, in preparing for a field trip we must bare in mind that there many precautions to be followed by the students in order for them to avoid some accidents while in trip. There many advantages and disadvantages of a field trip. Some of these are the time, money and effort.
Lesson 13: TEACHING WITH VISUAL SYMBOLS
Visual symbols are representations of direct reality, which comes in the form of signs and symbols. In teaching, we don’t simply talking and talking, we should let our students see the things that we talk about like giving examples of a chart and objects to be used. By letting our students see the things that are helpful for them in the future making. In presenting a visual presentation, we must see to it that it is clear and can be seen by the students at the back. Visual symbols are very helpful in the learning of the students because not only they see it but they actually perceive an visualize it.
