INSIGHTS
LESSON 7 : DIRECT, PURPOSEFUL EXPERIENCES AND BEYOND
I've learned in this topic is that, Direct experiences or first time experiences is effective to use as an instructional
materials in teaching. But first hand experiences alone does not ensure adequate learning. You as a teacher should
know which direct experiences will serve your purpose and you should know when to use it and how to use it.
LESSON 8: TEACHING WITH CONTRIVED EXPERIENCES
I've learned in this topic is that, there are also experiences that are edited copies of reality and are used as a
substitute for real things when it is not practical or not possible to bring or do the real thing in the classroom. This
experiences are designed to simulate to real life situations.
LESSON 9: TEACHING WITH DRAMATIZED EXPERIENCES
I've learned in this topic is that, if we as a teacher is dramatic in teaching, our students get attracted, interested and
affected. And if our students are affected and moved or do by what we taught to them their is an impact learning to
the students. A dramatic teacher is the one who catches and holds the attention of his or her students and has an
emotional impact.
LESSON 10 : DEMONSTRATION IN TEACHING
I've learned in this topic is that, if you see that there are too many important points to tackle in a demonstration, it
maybe best to divide the demonstration into two parts. If you insist on demonstrating the whole thing, you run the risk
of learning a lot a little. You simply scratch the surface. And one reminder in demonstration is that " don't hurry your
demonstration."
LESSON 11 :MAKING THE MOST OF COMMUNITY RESOURCES AND FIELD TRIPS
I've learned in this topic is that, field trips are opportunities for rich and memorable experiences which are
fundamental to learning that lasts. It can nurture curiosity, build a zest for new experiences and a sense of wonder.
Field trips abolish the walls that divide the classroom and the outside world. It also connects people. And most of
all field trips are rich learning resources.
